ABOUT THERAPY

Kindful Psychology is a clinical psychology practice offering services to adults struggling with difficulties such as stress, grief, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, and burnout.

We specialize in offering "third wave" psychology interventions, which focus on the relationship we have to our thoughts and emotions, as well as drawing upon various techniques to gently challenge unhelpful ways of thinking and to gradually face fears that may be holding us back from moving forward in our lives.

Our clinicians are trained in various evidence-based, trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. Some of which may include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • Cognitive Processing Therapy

  • Emotion Focused Therapy

  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy

  • Self-Compassion Therapy

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy

  • Dialectic-Behavioural Therapy

  • Acceptance-Based Therapy

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy

  • Narrative and Family Systems Therapy

While there are many helpful therapeutic techniques, the research shows that the most important therapeutic factor to clients getting better is a good relationship with their therapist. It is important that you feel a sense of trust, support, and confidence in your therapist in order for therapy to be effective for you.

Contact us to see if one of our therapists could be a good fit for your needs!
