Registered Social Worker

Kim is a registered social worker who has been providing psychotherapy services for over twenty years. Kim’s warm and genuine approach helps clients navigate through relationship challenges, mental health difficulties, grief/loss, crisis situations and trauma.

Kim helps individuals looking for a safe and non-judgmental space by exploring where they are now and where they would like to be. Kim takes an eclectic approach to meet the unique needs of each client. She works from a client-centered, trauma-informed approach and utilizes aspects of cognitive behaviour therapy, brief therapies, EMDR, mindfulness and dialectical behavior therapy. She recently became a trained teacher of the Mindful Self-Compassion group through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. Kim strongly believes that everyone has strengths and that in the presence of a compassionate listener, these strengths can be revealed to create meaningful life changes.

Kim is also a proud mother of two young adults. She is a lifelong resident of Thunder Bay and can be found outside enjoying the seasons either hiking, kayaking, or skiing
