CARLYN HOPKINS

MEd, RP

Registered Psychotherapist

Carlyn is a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO and an IFS Certified Therapist through the IFS Institute. After completing her Masters degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto in 2017, Carlyn has focused her practice on bringing compassion-focused and attachment-based practices to healing. She has extensive experience supporting adults with ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence.

Carlyn strives to create a warm, collaborative environment where all parts of a person's experience can be explored without judgment. Sessions focus on helping clients connect with their innate compassion and approach their challenges or unwanted behaviours from a place of curiosity and care. Through this process, clients often experience not only a deepening of insight, but also the release from old emotional and behavioural patterns. Her hope is that clients leave treatment feeling unburdened and grounded in their inner strength, wisdom, and resilience.

Her approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS) as an anchor for processing and healing and integrates skills-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She works with clients who struggle with the impacts of trauma, attachment wounding, relationship issues, self-esteem, grief, OCD, mood concerns, anxiety, ADHD, and life transitions.
